Sara is the co-founder and CFO of WhyQ. WhyQ is a WhatsApp chatbot based queue management solution for local stores ('kiranas') helping people practice safe social distancing during the pandemic. This startup was ideated through the TiE Young Entrepreneurship Program (TYE). The WhyQ team won the regional first prize at the Delhi chapter of TiE. At the global finals hosted by TiE Seattle, WhyQ won the
'Best Execution' and 'Best Pitch' track awards. The chatbot helps you find the best time slot to come, arranges for your order to get assembled before you make it to the store, and gives shopkeepers predictive sales so that they can have a better inventory management system. WhyQ received in-kind support from Amazon Web Services provided to innovative and viable young startups. WhyQ also received in-kind support from Spanish SaaS company 'Landbot' provided to startups and ventures making a social impact. The team has received mentorship and guidance from Daniel McQuade, Rajan Anandan, Rimy Oberoi, Dhruv Shringi and other industry experts. The team also had the opportunity to work with 37KrishnaMarché. The venture was supported by the MP and MLA of the area. The venture has been covered by many newspapers and national dailies.

Columbia Business School Venture For All
Program
Sara participated in the Columbia Business School's Venture For All Program
in Prof. Daniel McQuade's class in the summer of 2019. The CBS Venture
for All® is a global initiative for talented students and professionals who
seek to develop the entrepreneurial mindset needed to succeed in the
classroom or business world.The course guides you through the steps necessary
to create, develop, and launch innovative programs, products, and ventures.
Sara was invited to participate as a Teaching Assistant in Prof. Sarah Beston's class in the Columbia Business School Venture For All global program held online over 3 months (Nov 2020 - Jan 2021).
She mentored a team of students from Hisar School, Turkey who went on to win the overall first prize
and the'Best Branding' award in the program for their venture idea 'Taking Care'. Sara is also an Ambassador for the Columbia Business School Venture for All Program in India.

Sara was invited to participate as a judge in the 'Shark Tank' Round of the 'Nebula' Inter-College
Entrepreneurship Cells Competition organised by the Symbiosis Centre for Management
Studies, Pune. The E-Cells of 9 Colleges from across the country- Vellore Institute
of Technology,Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies,St.Xaviers College,
Symbiosis School of Economics,Sri Venkateshwara College,IIM Indore, Hindu
College, Symbiosis Law School, Hansraj College- participated in the event.
Teams were assessed based on innovation, business viability, product market fit,
clear understanding of cost structure and revenue streams, well thought out marketing
strategies and most importantly clear understanding of the problem.
